Using Public Policy to Advocate with G20 Decision-Makers

Within the framework of the 2018 T20 Summit in Argentina, José Luis Chicoma will participate alongside other leaders from think tanks, civil society organizations, and government to propose and position public policies with G20 members.

On September 18, José Luis Chicoma, Executive Director of Ethos, will participate in the 2018 Think 20 (T20) Summit in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The purpose of this event is to encourage the exchange of experiences among experts and create public policy recommendations to broaden the vision of the decisions to be made by the G20

Mr. Chicoma will participate as a participant of the session “The G20 and the New World Order,” alongside Laura Jaitman, Finance Deputy at the Argentine Ministry of Finance, and Paul Twomey of the Centre for International Governance Innovation. This session will serve as an opportunity to present proposals and exchange ideas within a space for analysis and reflection.

This meeting will gather together more than 1,200 participants, including leaders from 150 different think tanks from all over the world, as well as government authorities, representatives from international organizations, and members of the business community.

This year, the Argentine Council for International Relations (CARI) and the Centro de Políticas Públicas para la Equidad y el Crecimiento (CIPPEC) organized the T20. These organizations will also preside over the event from September 16 to 18.

The G20 is the premiere international forum for economic, financial, and political cooperation and analysis of major global challenges. The T20 is an essential complement to this event, proposing and positioning public policies that offer a different perspective on these global issues.
